The title is a bit misleading because there's not much road racing here. But if you like hard driving rock and roll from the 50s, you will like this film. It's about "Dude" (Arquette) who dreams of of leaving his dead end small town and becoming a rockabilly star. But he gets caught up in a nasty feud with the town's local sheriff (William Sadler) and his son (Jason Wiles). Salma Hayek, in her film debut, plays the girlfriend.
Acclaimed director Robert Rodriguez made this film in 13 days. The credits refer to a soundtrack CD on A & M but it was never released.
Viewing quality of this hard to find film is excellent. It is shipped in a plastic case with the artwork as shown.
