Here's a very rare, almost never seen film about the world of top fuel drag racing from the 1970s. Some consider the 1970s the "Golden Age" of drag racing because so many drag racing legends first appeared on the scene and became superstars.
This film tells the story of one young man (Mark Schneider) who starts at the bottom wiping tires and ends up as a champion. His team - Buehl - Cirino - Rhodes - are played by themselves. Cameo appearances by many other big names from that generation - watch for Don Garlits, Marvin Graham, Gary Beck, Shirley Muldowny, Don Prudhomme, Raymond Beadle and Tony Nancy. Robert Louden and John Zenda also appear.
The plot is thin and the acting is painful to watch but this is a "must have" film for NHRA fans.
This film is a great companion for "Drag Racer" our other film about drag racing in the 70s. Ask us about our discount when they are ordered together.
Viewing quality of this hard to find movie is about an 8 - very watchable but not a 10. It is shipped in a plastic case with the artwork as shown.
