In the '70s, There was an annual cross-country auto race known as the "Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Race." In this over-the-top film, Cannonbal Buckman (David Carradine) is out to win the $100,000 prize. He drives a garish Pontiac Trans Am and drags his girlfriend (Veronica Hamel) along for the ride. His chief rival (Carl Gottlieb) drives a black Dodge Charger. Watch for cameo appearances by Sylvester Stallone, Roger Corman and Martin Scorsese.
