H.B. (Toby) Halicki wrote, produced, directed and starred in this low-budget 1974 film which became a cult classic. He also did much of the stunt driving. But the real star was "Eleanor" - the yellow 1973 Mustang Mach I.
Halicki died in 1989 - killed in a freak accident while filming the sequel but his widow, Denice Halicki, became executive producer of "Gone 2k" the Nicolas Cage remake. The story goes that she granted the remake rights with one stipulation - Eleanor had to be a Mustang. Trivia buffs may be interested to know that the beat-up remains of the original Eleanor are (or were) on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
Viewing quality of this great old movie is excellent and is presented in Wide Screen. Comes in a slipcase with the artwork as shown
